Why you should try on-line dating.
By admin on Nov 13, 2008 | In Dating Advice | 1 feedback »
First and foremost, "It is fun." On-line dating can be a very fun and enjoyable experience. Just think of how many different people you can meet world wide with a few clicks of your mouse. If you are looking for love or just looking for a friend, on-line dating is right for you.
There are several different ways to communicate to each other. You could choose to talk with several different people at the same time in the chat rooms. You can also talk privately in an instant message or e-mail.
Let's say your sitting at home with nothing to do. Your curious about what your missing out on. Get on a dating site and do a quick search. You will be amazed on how many different types of people show up from you to choose from. Narrow your search by filling out the Personality Profile and find your perfect match.
Now a days it can be very expensive to go out to meet people. Not to mention dangerous. You never know what type of person you will end up meeting. With on-line dating you can find out about someone with out leaving the security of your home.
I have spent hours on the net just talking and making new friends. Getting to know someone through IM or Chat is a lot safer then putting yourself out there in harms way. This is the easiest way to weed through the good apples from the bad ones.
When you do find that special someone you connect with and are finally ready to meet in person - Please remember to meet in a public place at least for the first few times. Just like anything else, make safety your first priority.

Respect
By admin on Nov 10, 2008 | In Dating Advice | 1 feedback »
Respect is probably the most important part of any relationship. If you don’t have respect for each other you really don’t have anything. The dictionary says that the meaning of respect is “high or special reguard”. I believe it goes much deeper than that. Everyone should be treated with respect. No one has the right to judge or talk down to you. If you have a significant other that tries to make you feel bad about yourself, then you are probably with the wrong person. I am not saying that people do not make mistakes, especially in the heat of anger, but a person that respects you will realize it later and apologize. It won’t be an everyday occurrence.
Your life partner is supposed to help you feel good about yourself. Criticizing does not help any situation. Your life partner should be your best friend. The one you can go to when something happens be it good or bad. You should never have to be afraid to tell your mate anything. You should be able to trust them completely and they should be able to trust you completely.
I think that we should all respect each other. But, if you can't get treated with respect from the one person that is supposed to love you, than I don’t believe that is really love. Love and respect go together. How can you love someone and not respect them? You can’t. They go together.
You should treat your mate like you want to be treated. After all, don’t you want to be treated with respect? Why shouldn’t your mate, your love, deserve the same thing?
We all want to be respected and we all deserve it. Most of all we need to respect ourselves. Then we would not tolerate disrespect from anyone else.

The Simplicity of Finding True Love
By admin on Oct 28, 2008 | In Dating Advice | 4 feedbacks »
It is so simple to find a love that is real and true. The most important thing to remember is to be honest and be the true you. Don’t put on a facade and pretend to be something you are not. If you are honest from the start a lot of problems that can happen in a relationship would be avoided altogether. A lot of people pretend to be someone they are not just to impress others, or try to get someone to like them. Well you can only keep that up for so long before the truth comes out. That’s when everything starts to go wrong with relationships. The other person feels betrayed and lied to. Even if you think well he or she loves me now, they won’t leave me. Think again. It may not be right away but eventually the relationship can suffer irreversible damage. How can you find someone who truly loves you for who you are if you are acting like someone else?
If you are honest from the start and just be your true self, you will find someone who loves you for who you truly are. You don’t have to pretend to be anyone else and you will be much happier. Your partner will be much happier and you will stay together longer if not forever.
Just imagine what kind of relationship you will have just by being your true self. Just because you have a crush on someone or think you are in love with someone who has no interest in you does not mean that you will not find someone that will love you for you and no other reason. It all comes down to self esteem and how much love you actually have for yourself. You cannot love someone fully or someone cannot love you unless you have a love of yourself first. You are a unique and wonderful individual. There is someone out there for just you.
Where ever you go and what ever you do, just remember to be yourself. No one is perfect and if you make a mistake, get up, dust yourself off and keep going. It is not the end of the world. You can find that perfect someone that’s just for you. Don’t get discouraged. As you go about your business in a happy and carefree manner it will happen when you least expect it.

How to date in todays economy
By admin on Oct 24, 2008 | In Dating Advice | 3 feedbacks »
No matter what the Government says, "we are in a depression!"
Dating can be very expensive. Here are some tips on how to date without breaking your bank.
1. Be honest. Tell your date that times are tough and money is tight.
If they are interested in you they will understand.
2. Don't spend beyond your means on the first date. The first date
sets a precedent! If you over do it on the first date, what are they
going to expect on the second date?
3. Pack a picnic, go to a park, beach or river. Find a secluded spot
and talk. Find out your dates likes and dislikes. Getting to know
each other is the best part of any date.
4. Take a nature hike. There are a lot of free nature trails.
(but be sure to remember to bring the bug spray depending on
where you live.) Also, don’t forget to bring your digital camera.
5. If you are into the bar scene, Find a bar that is having drink
specials. Coin night is any coin buys a drink. Find bars that do not
charge a cover charge. Make sure you take a cab. That will show
your date that you are a responsible person.
6. Today's movie prices are outrageous. Go to a matinee, save
money on the ticket price, have more to spend on the concession.
7. Check your local paper for free craft shows, fairs, and local
entertainment. A lot of different companies put on free outdoor
concerts. Or at least relatively inexpensive ones.
8. Try online dating. This is a great resource to meet singles without
having to spend a lot of money. Chat and get to know someone
first. When you finally meet, it will make it less nerve wracking.
You will already be comfortable with one another. Just think how
much fun you can have chatting with different people at the same
time. You can weed out a lot of people you don’t have anything in
common with before spending a dime.
Here are just a few tips on economy dating. Use your imagination. Believe it or not people do like the simple things in life. Life can be difficult enough. Keep it simple.
